Street show in which the emblematic New Orleans parades are recreated. Their traditional hymns and fun melodies will jazz up every corner they go through.

“New Orleans Parade” transports you to New Orleans and turns any event into a real party full of energy, rhythm and very happy music. Inspired by the typical parades of the social events of the city of Louisiana, the Gata Brass Band parade is pure energy and fun thanks to the funk ‘riffs’, the traditional ‘second line’ rhythm and the catchy ‘grooves’ that will make you dance to the public without stopping, the main objective of the band.

It is made up of wind instruments (saxophones, trumpet, trombone and tuba) and percussion (bass drum and snare) in the style of New Orleans marching bands.

The repertoire is a journey through the varied rhythms of this rich and musical city. During the parade you will be able to hear traditional melodies, current New Orleans brass band music (Rebirth Brass Band or Hot 8 Brass Band), combined with authentic funk anthems (James Brown, The Meters or Maceo Parker) and songs by Stevie Wonder, Smash Mouth or Mungo Jerry adapted to surprising instrumentation and sonority.

All this seasoned with touches of jazz, improvised solos and sung choirs that will make the public participate to be part of the show.
